Izaak Hernandez is an artisan working in the fashion and textile realms.

He is a storyteller interested in biography, material culture, and the history of dress. The core of his practice is motivated by the garment-body relationship with an emphasis on material interaction with the human form. Simple shapes and the elimination of the cut in garment construction are what excite him the most right now.

Educated at Parsons School of Design [AAS Fashion Design, 2020] and Rhode Island School of Design [BFA Textiles, 2024] he specializes in craft methods of making. Weaving, knitting, draping, and couture hand sewing are pillars of Izaak’s practice.
